Concept & Form
The design premise for this small art gallery was to make the space disappear, allowing the art to take center stage. We wanted patrons and passersby to see only the vibrancy and whimsy of the collection. Precise light color and intensity were critical to the project's success, ensuring the curators' vision was fully realized.
Material Palette
White sheetrock creates a neutral canvas, while flat black minimizes fixtures and ceilings. Custom-stained concrete, textured by hand-broadcasting pennies, creates a unique, mottled floor pattern
